The Heart of Helena Art Show and Auction: An offering to the Greater Helena Community by St. Peter’s Episcopal Cathedral
The Heart of Helena Art Show and Auction is primarily organized and put on by St. Peter’s Episcopal Cathedral of Helena. A committee of volunteers works virtually all year-round gathering art, coordinating activities, getting sponsors, working with beneficiary agencies, all to make this annual event a highlight of the Helena art community. Beyond that, there is a whole host of other volunteers who help bring everything together, all the little nuts and bolts, hammers and nails, glue and tape, making sure the i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed, the essentials to make an event such as this happen. Without their efforts, the event could not take place.
As a result, and with the help of many of our vendors and other support services keeping their costs to the event down, the Heart of Helena is able to maximize the amount of proceeds received that are then distributed to our beneficiary agencies. A large part of the ministry of the church is involved in social outreach, and the Heart of Helena is an opportunity for a special event to bring in the wider community together for fun, food, music and general fellowship, while at the same time bringing a real, tangible benefit to some of our local agencies.
